The battle of the locals

I live in the outskirts of the city of Rochester. There a four locally owned coffee shops near Roberts Wesleyan College and today I am going to "battle" the best.

I hate that I have to include Jitters to this list. I don't want to come across as a "Karen" and publicly disown this cafe, but I truly don't understand the appeal of college students (or anyone) wanting to go to this cafe. The only time I will ever go is if I have to for a meeting. I swear, it's my college meetings and a group of old people that are their business. Across from Jitters is a Dunkin' Donuts, Tim Hortons, and gas station coffee. Any one of those would be a more viable option than Jitters in my opinion, and this is coming from a girl who supports the mantra "drink local coffee only."
Anyways, here is my review of the establishment:

This is a new cafe located about 10 minutes from the college. The space inside is perfect for workers, mothers, college students, etc. For a newly opened cafe, I think they are off to a great start. A problem they have is their latte's are watered down, but I have been back and it has improved. Here is my review:
Café Macchiato:

Another cafe about 10 minutes from the college, located in the village of Spencerport. It a small shop that I think is more of a "stop on in" and then walk the streets and support the other shops. However I do have a few friends who love to meet here for coffee, so I thought I would give it a shot:

The moment you all (well the ones that know me) have been waiting for... my A1 since day 1, Leaf & Bean. So a quick backstory, Leaf is the first locally owned coffee shop that I have been to. An upperclassman my freshman year of college asked if I wanted to go get coffee and just chat. I was terrified and I had no idea what to get because I was getting Tim Hortons and Starbucks like it was my job back then. I remember I got a Mocha, and was hooked since. Leaf & Bean became my best friend. Now obviously I have critiques about Leaf, it is not the best coffee shop in Rochester. However I think the location, the feel of the shop, it will just always be connected to my "coffee roots." Here is my review of the cafe:
This shouldn't be a surprise. I recommend that if you wanna go somewhere thats not the city, Leaf is your best bet.
